The crew at the Kottman farm hangs sticks of tobacco in the barn in Glasgow, Mo. Each stick holds about five tobacco plants that have been cut, speared onto sticks and left to wilt for several hours in the field. The sticks are then hung in the barn for eight weeks to cure before being baled and brought to market.
