JOHN WAYNE GACY'S PRISON CELL
Larry Hopkins, superintendent of the medium security prison at the Menard Correctional Center, talked with mass murder John Wayne Gacy daily until he was executed in 1995. Gacy lived in the windowless cell and slept on the cot at right for nearly all of his seventeen years on death row. As part of his final meal before execution, Gacy asked for a six pack of Diet Coke. Hopkins asked him: "You're worried regular Coke is going to kill you?"
